Pickerel Frog

The temps have moderated so we were able to turn off the air conditioner and open windows. Love that fresh air. We decided to work outside today. I tackled the front large flower garden. This froggy wanted to help. He stayed in place so I could take several photos, just wish I could have gotten the eyes from a different angle. The bee balm and Black-Eyed Susans have finished blooming. I gathered many of them to make bouquets for the finch to snack on. They love the seed heads. My sister and BIL stopped by for a visit. We picked out gifts for our niece and a WV friend, both who are pregnant. They are registered at Amazon, a great way to get what they need delivered to their door. I went back out to pull more weeds. Hubby made me a sandwich and we had a porch picnic. By 3:30 I was beat. Showered and hit the recliner to rest up. Hubby got a haircut, picked up my asthma meds and got a few groceries. He took down a bird house that attracts way too many European house sparrows and dumped two huge loads of yard waste from my clean up work. So glad dinner is already cooked. We will continue weeding tomorrow (maybe). Hope you had a pleasant day. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “If the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long!” - Brian Tracy
