Judy

We arrived in Dandridge as the storm was quieting. Hubby registered us and got our hotel keys. He opened our room to find it already occupied. Thankfully, the occupant was in the shower. They gave us another room and we settled in. We decided to go look for a light dinner (baked potato and broccoli) in between the storm. We planned to take the family out for breakfast. Around 8:00 am, Bob called to say they’d just gotten home. His car broke down after the concert last night and his daughter Jillian had to drive four hours to get him and Riley. They skipped breakfast. Judy’s funeral was very touching. Her son and grandson eulogized her. Her son played football in college and just retired from coaching high school. To see and hear a brawny fellow choke up describing how his Mom took care of him and his three siblings as a single mother was very moving. The grandson recounted great stories of pranks they’d play on her and how she would respond in kind. They were a loving, playful tight knit family for sure. The Methodist ladies provided a fine repast for the family. We had a nice visit but it was too short. Mike just moved into a new apartment. We surprised him with a housewarming gift. It made us as happy as him. We grabbed a snack for dinner and plan to unwind with our Kindles. Wishing you a relaxing weekend. Thanks so much for the great comments and stars yesterday. Stay safe.
