Ulverston Canal

A drive to Roa Island for a trip to Piel Island. We had wanted to go for some time and C was keen to go too. We went over on the ferry for the princely sun of £6 each (return)!

We had coffee at the Ship Inn on the Island and sat outside as it was so lovely. From here a walk around the island, visiting the castle, and along the beach and back to the jetty to catch the return ferry. From here a late lunch at Charnleys garden centre and then a drive to Ulverston for a walk along the Ulverston canal. We had a great day with C and it is very good to spend time with him.
