Fairyland

We had a rather hot day, weather wise. It was actually worse in Maryland. We called our mother to make sure she had her air conditioner on. Her weekly card party is this afternoon; those folks will make sure it is properly adjusted. Our BIL decided we could go into town, have lunch and return the paint they bought in error. I found a couple dress shirts that will be appropriate for a funeral or any dressy occasion. Will leave one here. Our neighbor has twin sons who live on her property. We plan to make them a BBQ pork dinner with apple pie for their birthdays tomorrow. We bought the rest of our groceries for it while we were in town. We had planned to go to Ohio for an outdoor concert this evening; the threat of thunderstorms kept us home. Hubby found his SIL’s obit. We will leave here early Friday for the 10 hour ride to TN. The funeral is Saturday. We will head back to MD on Sunday after Mass and possibly stay in VA that night if the long drive gets to be too much for hubby. We are always on the go and we are ever thankful to have the means to do so. My sister spent part of her days here in June and July repainting all the parts of her fairy house. I snapped a photo of it when we got back from town. Can you see the swinging fairy’s shadow? Our great nieces loved visiting it when they were here in July. Sending wishes that your days aren’t quite so hectic. Thanks for stopping by. I simply cannot read in the car on these windy roads. Will try to catch up tomorrow. Stay safe. “The smears of silver on the webs that line the tree's crook'd roots, or stretch, white-wov'n, within the hollow stump, are stains of Faëry wine spilled on the cloth where Elf-land sat to dine, When night beheld them drinking, chin to chin, O' the moon's fermented shine.” - Madison J. Cawein (1865–1914), "Gramarye"
