Scène de rue typique

Off for a bit of contextualisation to the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. You need a bit of that in new places. Oh yes. Back via the clattering packed streetcar to settle on the kerb in St Louis Street and await the arrival of the parade.
And what a tremendous spectacle it was; a genuinely feel-good experience. Not that you’d catch me cavorting in skimpies like that. Well, not in public. Thought it was rather hot.
Afterwards off for a good walk through the French Quarter, along Royal, and back via Decatur. And by no coincidence, at the furthest point was the Brieux Carré Brewing Co. And there I fell into conversation with young Kyle from Minnesota, though now of New Orleans who enlightened me so much about life in his adopted city. And as a final parting tip, he revealed that you can ask for a “beer to go” and just drink it in the street strolling along. Now I find out!
