He Loves Me/Us
We had a very quiet morning. Hubby and my sister finished painting the back and side doors of the barn. Our BIL tightened the fasteners on the barn siding. They hope to change it out next year but until then, they want the old siding to be secure in storms. I cleaned the kitchen and had Sugar duty again. After lunch, we headed to Wheeling. I did a bit of Christmas stocking shopping; the others concentrated on socks, paint, hardware, tarps - useful stuff. The city of Wheeling sponsors outside summer concerts in the park. Tonight is the last performance so we decided to go. The band sang and played songs from the 70s and 80s. There was a nice crowd and decent food offerings. We had fun. The band is in my extra. They are belting out my favorite song of that era, “Proud Mary”, which is my first name. There were daisies planted throughout the park. Reminded me of the childhood game, he loves me, he loves me not until all the petals were removed. It’s time for another weekend. Hope you have great plans all lined up. We celebrate Labor Day on Monday in the States so folks get an extra day. Thanks for visiting. Stay safe. “The love of God toward you is like the Amazon River flowing down to water a single daisy.” - F.B. Meyer
