Bears!

The (midnight) sun came out after our walrus wander, and we enjoyed a quiet night anchored off Brucebukta, except for a small cruise (expedition?) ship joining us in the anchorage during the small hours. We had an early breakfast as we planned a longish passage. Imagine our surprise to look over at the beach and see 2 polar bears, one of them getting ready to start breakfasting on a walrus. They must have killed it (somehow) while we were sleeping. Probably good that we didn't see that, though it would have made for interesting photographs. And we wonder, where were those bears  while we were walking on the beach?
We pulled up the anchor and moved a little closer to see the bears. The one in this shot is the beta bear, who was hanging back and not eating the walrus. Both bears, are in the extra, but be warned, there is a dead walrus there too, so not for sensitive souls.
