O.J.

A pipefitter for about 15 years, O.J. works mostly on powerplant jobs. Now he is working on this pipeline project which wil involve welding together a five mile long gas pipe.

Tuesday he was cutting out a bad section of pipe.

All welds are x-ray'd and later sections of pipe are pressure tested. He has an umbrella clamped to the pipe to provide shade where he is welding. He has a crane operator to assist in moving the 1000 lb pipes into place.

Today, about a mile and a half back, a crew started burying a finished section of pipe. Up ahead, another crew was moving a fence to make room for the pipeline. For more photos look Here.
