Pipe Staging

To make a project move smoothly, materials must be staged ahead of the work. Also the site must be prepared. Many mesquite trees have been removed.

Loads of pipe are parked alongside the right of way and ahead of the work. This load contains 52 pieces of 8 inch gas pipe, each 50 ft long, or 2600 ft of pipe. Similar loads are staged about half a mile apart.

The pipe weighs 18.99 lbs per foot or about 950 lbs. Net trailer weight would contain nearly 50,000 lbs of pipe.

If you view LARGE you will see one of the most important facilties for the whole project. It is parked in the shade of a tree in the distance.
