It’s raining all over the world

Boy and Jess went out a run today

The text before they left to tell us and that they had no phones

They were going to run five kilometres and then walk back.

They run at different paces so Boy explained the route to Jess and they took off

At one point Jess couldn’t remember if it was the rubble path or the bike path. She kept to the bike path and kept going. It was a long straight path and she couldn’t see him. She climbed a bridge to look; still couldn’t see him

She waited and when he didn’t show she turned and headed back.

He was about a quarter of a mile along the path. Lying on the grass waiting for her to turn up. When he lay for twenty minutes and she hadn’t ; he started to wonder. And headed back too

This is Jess wandering home alone.

I spotted her as I drove home from work. She had gotten separated and lost and headed back.

It was pouring and she was soaked

As we drove the rest of the way home .

We spotted Boy sauntering along the pavement near home.

They were both full of ‘where did you go’. ‘I was so worried’ ‘I thought I’d lost you’ Which was very sweet; but I said to Boy. If you were so worried why were you just walking home all casual.

‘Well i figured if she had been kidnapped there was not a lot I could do about it’
