Hopper

Nice to have a different bug to blip... But I'm not so sure I want this guy in my garden... My flowers will be gone in no time as he munches away on them. Hmmm.

To be honest, I'm not even that happy with him as a blip - he falls a little short on the attractive scale if you ask me. But, everything else that turned out today happened to be things that I've already posted recently. I'm not sure what type of hopper he is. At the most he was 3/8" (10mm) long and surprisingly, never hopped (at least while I was watching). At least in large there is more detail. Is that a good thing?... You can decide... ;)

It was a beautiful day. A mild 65(F) 18(C), partly cloudy and barely a breeze. I spent most of the day working in the yard; weeding, dividing and moving plants, setting up the sprinklers, pruning and photographing anything that moved. I got a ton done and really enjoyed the day. I think the dogs were quite happy to have me out and about with them as well. Even though they didn't do much more than follow me around and keep me company, they seem pooped out. Both of them are sprawled out and snoozing while I write this and we haven't even been on our walk yet. They look so contented... Life is good when you're a happy dog... :))
