Party girl

Today we had Audrey's 1st Birthday party (a day early as we are away on holiday tomorrow). We held it at All Star Lanes in the private room, which took all the pressure off us having it at home as am not sure our house could have coped with the 40 adults and half a dozen children that turned up today!

Was so touched how many of our Manchester friends and family managed to drop by. Found it a bit stressful making sure everyone was OK, had a drink/some food and had had some time with Audrey. But you never enjoy it as much when you're a host!

Audrey was pretty overwhelmed with it all too and became very clingy and affectionate (which Angus and I secretly loved). She did so well, staying awake well past her normal nap time. I really felt for her, she was almost asleep on my shoulder at one stage.

Our house is now full of streamers, balloons, cards and presents ready to open in the morning.

One year since all this began. I can't quite get my head round that!
