The Town Water Pump.

This water pump, with the Headly & Manning maker's mark, is now in the yard of Cambridge Folk Museum. It was originally sited on Peas Hill, which was a fish trading market in Cambridge. The Headly family was one of Cambridge's major iron founding families, with brother James who ran the foundry and Edward the 'monger'
(or seller) They worked together until Edward left after a quarrel. James then teamed up with John Manning to form Headly & Manning, which operated in Mill Road between 1852 and 1855.
