Pererindota adref ~ To make a pilgrmage home

“The Tibetan term for pilgrimage is ne'khor (nNas sKor) which means to go around, to make a circular journey as this emulates the direction that the sun appears to take from the earth. It is said that places of power should be approached in a somewhat indirect and oblique manner, in a different way from how a tourist would visit. It is not the pilgrim's purpose to tick off a list of places, or to collect these sites as badges of holiness – but to visit simply with a sense of openness to behold what is there. The greater the space of one's approach to a place of power, then the more it makes itself available to the sense organs of perception.”
― Ngak'chang Rinpoche

Am y rhan fwyaf o'r pererinion, roedd heddiw'r diwrnod i ddechrau ar eu taith adre. Roedd ychydig ohonon ni yn aros i helpu glanhau a taclus y lle. Mae e wedi bod amser da i bawb. Doedd e ddim jyst gwaith ar y tir, roedd myfyrdod, dawns, canu, ayyb, hefyd. Ond mae'r gwaith ar y tir yn bwysig os rydyn ni'n mynd i sefydlu'r lle fel rhywbeth sy'n agor i'r cyhoedd. Mae llawer o waith i wneud.

Oherwydd pellter a chost rydyn ni'n gallu cynnal dim ond un enciliad y flwyddyn gyda'n myfyrwyr. Bydd e'n ddiddorol iddyn nhw i weld Drala Jong y flwyddyn nesa. Yn gobeithio bydd y pwll yn llawn o leiaf.

For most of the pilgrims, today was the day to start their journey home. A few of us were waiting to help clean and tidy the place. It's been a good time for everyone. It wasn't just work on the land, there was also meditation, dance, singing, etc. But the work on the ground is important if we are going to establish the place as something that opens to the public. There is a lot of work to do.

Due to distance and cost we are only able to hold one retreat per year with our students. It will be interesting for them to see Drala Jong next year. Hopefully the pool will be full at least.
