Raised bed city
Courtesy of Mr A's hard work, we have two raised beds in place, and more to come. In the thumbnail, you can see the red lupin which was so exciting the bee in Mr A's blip. But rather than focusing on the detail, I thought it useful to record the two beds, which have been positioned on either side of the new patio, with the picnic table, where we have just been sitting to have an outdoor post dinner beer.
Work has now started on the position for the third raised bed, which is just visible at the back of the right hand bed. It will be located on the side of the remaining lawn, against the path, and will be accompanied by an additional mini patio (apparently). This will be useful for me as it will be place where I stand to put the washing on the line. The reality of a small garden dictates that the washing line will have to stay where it is.
The left hand bed is largely, but not quite solely, herbs. The exceptions are two small chrysanthemum from Lidl, a lavender from Home Bargains and a very fragrant white dianthus from Corry Croft nursery.
Really pleased on the progress to bring some biodiversity to our back garden.
Back to work today, which was ok in the end. Haven't yet got back to the writing task. Perhaps tomorrow which is meeting free, although our neighbour is coming round for tea at some point.
There was also a swim. Lovely and warm, but I didn't take the go pro as I knew I wanted to blip the raised beds. It was good to swim unencumbered. However, we saw a dead lion's mane jelly fish on the beach as we emerged from the sea. That was not good to see.
