Dianthus superbus

Top name for a plant. Having shown the bigger picture yesterday, I resorted today - on a quiet day when I didn't leave Tain - to zooming in more closely on the plants in the back garden raised beds. This plant has a lovely fragrance, which is why it's in the herbs and fragrances bed.

It was a quiet day, but quite active. Mr A was busy making another raised bed, plus getting the other completed one into position and largely filled with topsoil. I think we are going to need a bigger supply of topsoil than we have so far. I have a task now, which is to paint the recently completed raised bed. I hope to find some time for that over the next couple of days. I inevitably got co-opted occasionally from my seat at the dining room table to come outside and hold something, or give an opinion on something, and I also did a bit of light weeding around the place, as the brown bin was emptied today, which means that it always demands to be filled again.

Our neighbour popped over for a quick cup of tea mid afternoon, and then a potential contractor stopped by to look at our fences later on. Finally, I headed up to the gym (TRACC) to do a sort of bootcamp class, which has left me feeling absolutely knackered. You really do make more of an effort when you are in a class lifting weights than you do on your own.

In and amongst, on a meeting free day, I did make progress with my writing task, and thought about what I need to say at a meeting on Thursday.
