Brougham (pronounced Broom) Castle.
What a dull, dismal and wet day. This is Brougham Castle where I visited after I had dropped Amy and Harry at Penrith station for their return journey home, so it was definitely a dismal day.
Anyway I had a walk around the castle taking a few photos. The gardener had started to cut the grass and took to his van for his tea break! I have taken many photos of this castle, but never in the rain. The red sandstone made an attempt to brighten the scene. Even the English Heritage flag was hanging limp!
I was going to stop in Keswick on the way back, but the rain had set in by then, so straight to home.
