Family

We intended to visit a farm park, but Harry wanted to 'go to a skate park' and use his scooter.  A compromise-nature reserve with tarmac roads to scooter around.  Sorted.  Although mum, Amy, or Adam ended up carrying the scooter for some of the time.  Fortunately the weather started kind, but half way round the heavens opened and this is us sheltering.  Nevertheless, the rain didn't last long and we were soon off again.
The nature reserve is called Watchtree, an air force base used during and just after the war. This large base was called RAF Wiggonby,   but was not the main one in the area.  Silloth was as the latter had more facilities.
You may remember the 2001 Foot and Mouth outbreak.  If cow carcasses weren't burnt, often in fields in full view, then they were buried at Watchtree.  I remember the fires as I travelled to work in Silloth.
Today we had fun.  By the way Harry is asleep on the sofa.
