Bear Pit

Another rainy day, I was up early to prepare the picnic for our day out with granddaughter Amelia at The Bristol Zoo Project  just off the M5 at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol (UK) It was still raining when we arrived at our pre-booked time of 11am but did ease as the day went on.

We ended up spending a good five hours there and managed to see everything with Amelia enjoying it all and not getting bored. Her favourite animals were the 'fighting' giraffes. I enjoyed that fight but good seeing the bears (main photo') and also the meerkats which were very cute (extra)

I think it's a lot better than the original zoo and will only get better as they get some more wildlife. It's also in a better position for customers as it's not in the dreaded ULEZ area and easier to travel.

It started raining again as we left and didn't stop as we left Amelia with her mum. It's lovely and quiet here tonight as we enjoy a chilled wine!
