I slept till after 7 am today, usually I am awake by 6 am. It was sunny all day, no rain, at least not where I was.
Dartmouth received 120 mm of rain yesterday and there is more in the forecast for Tuesday night into Wednesday. But they are not sure how much we will get, so they issued a special weather statement warning of the potential. There was no weather statement in effect for Saturday morning and no rainfall warning either until the storm was already here.
One of the FB challenge groups I am in had the theme last week as 'reflections', but this photo was taken a day too late for it. Now this week the theme is 'Flowers' and I have almost 200 photos to choose 2 from.
I spent over an hour at the Historic Gardens in Annapolis Royal today. I decided against a walk at the French Basin Trail and Miners Marsh, the birds are not that active during the heat of the day. I did stop at The Guzzle and Evangeline Beach but I would have had to spend at least an hour there, waiting for the tide to come in far enough to bring the sandpipers close enough to shore for me to get good photos of them. I did see several hundred land at Evangeline Beach but they were too far away for good photos.
I arrived home around 4 pm. The truck is unloaded. I really need to get a day scheduled for a big job building and planting a new perennial bed. One of the neighbors asked me if I was planning to start a garden center in my driveway, lol.
