Female Large White ( Pieris brassicae )

A lazy day round home.  A late (ish) getting up.  We haven't seen many butterflies this year.  I decided when I saw some on the Buddlia to do a "Big Butterfly Count".  The result?  Three Large Whites And A Small White.

These will be the second brood this year as Large Whites over winter as chrysalises, emerging in Spring.  The caterpillars from that brood pupate around the end of June/early July emerging quickly to have another brood/
