Le Quintette Vocal

We rang the bells to introduce the concert as a performance and then we were given a treat by this quintet of polyphonic singers. They sang both sacred and poetic music, firstly, a selection of church music followed by traditional songs, English and Italian Renaissance madrigals, French, madrigals, 20th century
songs and spirituals. It was only a chance meeting of one of our ringers and the choir leader at the thermal spa in the spring that resulted in the concert tonight. They were very well received and two of them even had a go at ringing a bell at the end.
