In the mountains

We came across roadworks and long tailbacks on the motorway when we were out and about the other day so we decided to take the scenic route this morning and it was well worth it. So peaceful and full of wildflowers and luckily a lovely sunny day! 

We stopped off in San Sebastian around lunchtime, parked up and walked down to La Concha beach (first extra) which is shaped like a horseshoe. The sand looked lovely and the beach looked crowded but also quite inviting. 

We then drove on to Hondarribia which is where we're staying for 2 nights.  The pretty town is right on the French border so when we leave on Monday we only have to cross the Bidasoa River and we'll be in France! I've added a couple more extras showing the view from our hotel room and one of the streets we walked down earlier this afternoon. We're going to a tapas bar for supper tonight!
