New variety

Up till now I have been growing Batavia lettuces but they only had this variety at the market so I thought I would try them. They have grown well but they are growing upwards rather than outwards so I think they may be about to go to seed. I wonder if that is because of the heat but I think I will have to eat them soon before they have really bushed out.
I went to Prades this morning for a tennis practice with our team captain-to- be in September. The local tournament has started but I don't think I will be playing until Sunday.
