Mystery Lily

It’s a calm moment today. We raced over to Sebastopol to a nursery there where we saw some nice agaves. We bought two agave plants for the hill where we had to take out a big one which bloomed. They left the stump because it stabilizes the hill, so we want to plant something near it to camouflage it.

Tim and Maya are arriving soon bringing sandwiches and will stay for dinner. I haven’t seen Maya in ages so I’m looking forward to seeing her again. Another big Covid change as both of them are still doing remote school. Maya is looking forward to going in person high school next year when she will be a senior. Owen is one of the few kids I know who is happier in remote school.

Will is coming for dinner with us as he will be ‘hosting’ Neville, Ruta, Mira and Lola who arrive at SFO at 7pm. If all goes according to plan they will get here at around 9:30. Things often don’t, so we’re playing things by ear until we actually see them, and it will be good to have Will in the frame as they will all be staying at Dana and Jim’s.

Dana and Jim meanwhile have made it to a villa in Umbria where they will spend a week with three other families. Peter and Molly have also arrived from wherever they have been traveling as Dana sent pictures….

Sort of like the flow chart for the dogs’ meds, I write all this down for the record, so I don’t have to try to keep all the moving parts in mind!
