Sleeping bumble

I read just recently that bees sleep in flowers, and, like us, they need to sleep for 6 to 8 hours. As is the way of serendipity, the day after I read it I saw one:) This is 6am and I’m putting out my recycling.  It was fast asleep on the oregano flower, making no movement or sound, and you can see it is holding on with little hooks at the end of its legs. Half an hour later it had gone.
Spent the morning doing quite a lot of cleaning which was really overdue, and some admin jobs.  In the afternoon I went to help a friend who is selling his house and leaving Bristol.  It was the very last day, and I took two carloads of stuff to two different charity shops.  I think it was good to be able to give some support, especially as he had to get rid of stuff that had been his mum’s.  I know how that feels.
Still catching up with visiting everyone’s blip journals after my weekend in London when I didn’t do any:-)
