Tuesday: Tweetie Pie …

… another Courgette plant which has survived … and a female Blackbird helping herself to the ripe gooseberries and having a sunbathe! All happening in our garden at lunchtime :-))

I’d been in the garden earlier cutting some rhubarb stalks, they’ve grown well during the recent wet weather and I had a plan to make rhubarb and stem ginger jam for my Big Sisters … it wasn’t going well, the jam was showing no sign of setting, I added some chopped Bramley cooking apples, the mixture reduced but the set is very poor :-((

Dinner for me this evening was a piece of the courgette from yesterday, it was chopped and fried along with home grown shallots and shop mushrooms then an egg added and everything fried together on a couple of toasted potato waffles, this was my non meat option - MrD had homemade chilli con carne with boiled rice.

MrD rode his electric bike to fetch his van ready for a day of deliveries tomorrow.
