Looking out

I was talking to Annie at the painting group this afternoon and she brought a book in to show me. It was a book of the paintings of Caspar, David Friedrich. She had assumed that my painting in the extra was inspired by the painting that I have blipped. In fact, I had never heard of the painter, but his work was used without his permission by the Nazis for propaganda purposes. It is a fabulous book with hundreds of glossy prints which I shall enjoy thumbing through.
