Parting the cows

The weather forecast was giving 34 degrees at home so we decided to walk onto the plateau above Font Romeu up to the Pic dels Moros. It was still 27 degrees at 2000 metres. We enjoyed the walk and got slightly lost twice, but we were soon back on track. I was a bit concerned as my knee has been playing up and I was forced to take painkillers and wear my knee support. I have booked an appointment with the doctor as I think my knee has been gently deteriorating for some time. As we live in a ‘medical desert’ the first appointment with my own practitioner is not for a month. The walk was a little over 11 kilometres long with about 300 metres of ascent.
