Cathedral Park Jazz Festival

Curtis Salgado was the headliner, Friday night is always Blues Night, and Salgado is a pretty big deal here in Portland where we claim him as our own.
We walked to the Park and met nephew Tyler there; he gave us a ride home. 
Huge crowd, maybe the biggest yet, it cooled off nicely. We sat pretty far from the stage, and I couldn't get myself to go down there and join in the dancing, first time that happened.
Maybe that means I'm getting too old, but I think I can use the excuse that we unloaded and stacked firewood (two big loads actually, one had been stacked in the yard to dry for a few weeks); I still love his lyrics:
