Esmé is Five

I missed her birthday party and hadn't seen her for weeks, but today I had Esmé all to myself for the afternoon and it was so much fun: reading, painting, lots of joking, some good old tussling, answering questions . . . all made possible by Bar's offering me the use of her grandkids' carseat.
