Last Day

The weather closed in today so we took the train to Saltaire and explored Salt's Mill.  Well, we got as far as the wonderful children's bookshop where Rozalie promptly sat down on a children's sized chair and worked her way through the board books on the table next door!  Mum and Dad took it in turns to play narrator whilst we wandered amongst the bookshelves and I re-stocked my cards.

Rozalie was finally persuaded to go to the cafe where it was toasted snacks hour so we had toasted teacakes and jam, and Rozalie tucked in to her Mum's crumpets, so another order was made!

We decided to walk back along the canal in the hope of Rozie sleeping in her stroller, but she was having none of it and walked all the way to Hirst Wood, finding her own play equipment on the way, before succumbing to a nap by Dowley Gap.  To prolong her sleep we continued along the canal in to Bingley where Tony had secured a table at the Craft House Café, which was where we lunched.

This was our last day of adventure with our Czech friends and now we have an open invitation to revisit.  We will leave it until Baby no.2 is established.  Rozalie has done remarkably well being with us this week.  The most difficult thing has not being able to have the kind of conversations we would have with Euan, but she has called me Babi Wendy numerous times (babicka is Czech for grandmother) and Dede Tony (dedecek is grandfather in Czech) so I think she has felt happy around us.

I'm on photographic assignments this weekend so will hope to catch up with you all next week.
