Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Archie and I took a walk over the Links to one of our favourite cafes - and he actually just trotted in, quite the thing! Mind you, he'd scrabbled and dragged me past every other cafe on the way. They have lovely pastries and cakes, but I ignored them! Well I didn't - I admired them all - but didn't partake. I'm on a diet.

JR had been to the gym, of course, and took Archie out for two walks during the day. In between times she fiddled about making adjustments to a dress (taking the sleeves off, as you do). She half-heartedly watched a bit of tennis. She had her earpods in, listening to her new audiobook, but on several occasions I noticed that she had dozed off, so will have to rewind a fair bit, but probably won't bother, as it's an autobiography she’s not particularly interested in, not a novel.

I always like this wee corner of the Links - Miss Jean Brodie's school in the distance.
