That’s Life

Friday coffee with Richard remains an oasis of calm in an increasingly noisy world. Even Richard commented today; “does your phone never stop?”
In amongst the messages, texts, WhatsApp, and calls I now receive e-mails from those to whom we gave our contact details to as part of AFD23. We now find ourselves receiving messages about things the majority of us are not interested in.

Mrs S and I spent the evening at the rugby club with Ben and Carolyn enjoying An Evening With Johnny Cowling, accompanied by Betty Stoggs, he entertained us the whole evening. The night was in two halves with a raffle and auction during the interval with the proceeds of the whole evening going to the Children’s Hospice South West.

I believe that by the end of the night they had raised in excess of £3,000, not only raising money for a worthy cause but being entertained whilst doing so, what could be better.
