Somethings Done Differently

First thing done differently; Thursday Gang minus my tools and with diminishing enthusiasm. No tools because an accurate scale drawing of the club layout is required and this apparently falls under the Thursday Gang remit as well. Just an A3 graph pad, laser & tape measures and a pencil needed today. Of the six volunteers today, four spent their time cleaning and recycling, one on his tools and me. With training about to start and the first home match around seven weeks away the inevitable calls of “this needs doing” won’t be long in coming.

Second thing, pedicure, not different but by a different person. Annie is on holiday and apparently marrying as well so I was ‘transferred’ to Jade in Penryn for one month only. Jade always did my pedicure when I went to Western Goya many moons ago.
Still enjoyed it, still relaxing and good to catch up with Jade again.

A row with Epic in the evening, it’s not as enjoyable as it used to be, these days it’s more of a drive down to Ponsharden, manhandle the boat across the boatyard and slipway to launch, an hour or a little over to row followed by the reverse manhandling to put the gig away. Little social interaction, not much of anything really.

Todays photo, last one from AFD23, HMS Blazer alongside.
