Arundel
MrMacD, G and I did a supermarket run this morning ready for the family gathering tomorrow. M and M arrived from London, we had lunch, then we all walked into Arundel to take M to the LG Café, otherwise known as the “sugar shop”. It’s quite amazing. All the walls and the ceiling are decorated in pink and white flowers, with neon messages, disco balls and discrete flashing lights - a magnet for little girls and those who like the sugary delights it serves. You can also get coffee, hot chocolate and tea. MrMacD and I shared a blueberry muffin, but the others had a range of the sugary cakes and pastries. Afterwards we poked our noses into a couple of shops then walked home, as we were expecting our friends J and C. We just made it back in time. We spent a pleasant hour chatting, drinking coffee and looking at photographs before setting off for a hamlet called Burpham, where we’d booked a table at The George at Burpham. The food was delicious and we had a fun evening. Once again, it was a late night but an enjoyable day.
Apologies, but I am still way behind dipping into fellow Blippers’ journals and responding to comments. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day at the moment.
The blip shows LG Café, stained glass in a shop, The George at Burpham, a view across to Arundel from The George, and the moon.
