Woods and mountains

Today I went on a stupidly long hike - considering this was meant to be an acclimatisation day. Those of you who know me well won’t be surprised though…things are further than they seem, not nearer, in the mountains! And I’d decided on the lake (see extra). It was a glorious day - weather, scenery, woods, flowers - see new batch in extras.
Today’s sole conversation was with the farmer heading up to his sheep - clearly not a Sunday hiker in his wellies and flat hat - he says it’s been very wet.
