Green is the colour!

Today some of the parakeets that usually just screech overhead early evening, deigned to land on the peanut feeders nearest the house.  They stayed long enough for me to get a reasonable shot but flew off when I approached the window of the dining room.
Yesterday we had the thrill of seeing two goldfinches land on our fountain but as soon as I picked up my camera, off they flew!  I'm amazed that they could see me inside the house but they did and so a photographic opportunity was lost.
