Poole harbour

The second biggest natural harbour in the world apparently.  I had no idea! A glorious visit on a beautiful day.  We crossed on the Studland ferry, having sat a while in a long queue and met up with Noemi and family and went to the beach.  The sea was cold but lovely after the hot time in the car.  Not much fun for Woody as dogs weren’t allowed off the lead.  We then went over to Shell Bay restaurant where N had booked an amazing table overlooking the harbour and had a lovely lunch chatting away.  Went with them back into Poole and saw their new house which needs a lot of work but is well situated by the harbour.  It was good to see the layout and experience where they live and although we spoke about work a bit we didn’t get bogged down.

Hellish long, three hour drive home (it’s not far!) in expected summer traffic but grateful for a lovely day at the seaside.

Lots of chores to do, watering and various but caught up with Elton John on TV at about 9.45 and watched to the epic end of Rocket Man on stage.
