Elvis has left the building….

Slept badly last night for the first time in ages but took it easy during the day. It was dry and windy, which is the forecast for the weekend, and a bit grey but I did some basics in the garden.  

In the late afternoon we went for a quick supper in Chichester followed by the Baz Luhrman Elvis movie which was terrific fun.  It is long and I did wonder if we were going through all the Las Vegas years but then it sped up and gave us a great finish.  This is the title shot which, in the modern way comes up at the end. I am not sure how true it all is but Austin Butler gives an amazing, powerful performance and Baz spins the dials into a frenzy and for the first time I ‘got’ Elvis…
