Sunshine on Stromness

This was the view of the harbour at 5pm as I waited for my Saturday fish supper to be ready.
The weather continues to be Mediterranean and although I opened my peepers this morning to a world shrouded in a dense haar it burned off by about 11am leaving a day of sunshine and heat with not a breath of wind. It was so hot and humid that being in the sea was a relief.

Now at 7:30 pm the sun shines, not a cloud in the sky, the sea is like a millpond and it’s 19°. Unbelievable weather for Orkney.
