Mock orange

When we moved into our house in 1985 one of the first shrubs we got was a mock orange  (Philadelphus) I loved the scent of the one in my parents garden and I had visions of sat on the garden seat in the evening breathing units perfume. 
It didnt flower.
We moved it to the other end of the garden.
It didnt flower. 
So we planted it by the garden gate where it grew lots of leaves but never flowered. We left it to be part of the hedge.
Fast forward 30 years and it flowered  and this year it is looking amazing.
