The sun was up before I was today. I left the house just before 6 heading to Tranquille and the wetlands. 

I made a stitch looking across the wetlands pond to Tranquille Farms. The pond did not host any wild fowl this morning. It continues to shrink as the river level falls. 

I drove past the farm and up the hill across the tracks stopping so I could catch another view of the pond. I left a quilted heart at the entrance to the Mara Trail. 

I stopped at Tranquille River to see it has returned to normal after the rush of spring melt. 

I drove up the gravel road to the first landing for a view over the lake and the delta. As I drove into the landing a young couple were just packing up their camping gear. They said they'd come from Calgary yesterday and were on their way to the US. I wished them well and started down the hill for home. 

I'm in for the day. My feet are up in my recliner.
