Langstrath Valley
I had a choice of images tonight, this one and a horrible one. In the end this won as I felt I needed something pleasant to post.
I led a walk for our Ramblers group today from Rosthwaite up the Langstrath Valley via Stonethwaite and back along the opposite bank. We stopped for lunch at Black Moss Pot which is a chasm in the river, popular with open water swimmers. The place was crawling with folk sunbathing and generally larking about. The walk was lovely with great company.
**Rant Alert** The horrible image would have been a Tesco bag full of litter that someone had left close to the path. This contained among other things a disposable BBQ tray and plastic food trays! The remnants of a party probably. The lazy s**s could not be bothered to carry their bag of rubbish back to the car park about 2 miles away. Others who walked past us whilst we ate lunch just left it there. My good deed for the day (ex boy scout!) was to clear up after these lazy people and carry it back to a litter bin in Rosthwaite. Why oh why can't people clear up after themselves and take their litter home? ***Rant Over***
