Shell and Grass
I fancied photographing a still life today, so this is a grass stem I picked at Beacon Hill Country Park this morning and a Venus comb Murex shell I picked up from the beach in Muscat many years ago. I liked how the spines on the shell mirrored the fronds on the grass.
It has rained this afternoon. We were woken at 3 am by a terrific thunderstorm. It really did sound as if the gods were fighting in heaven. If I had been fit, I might have tried to get a photo of the lightning.
Basil was very scared and moved up on Len for protection. I think he senses when thunder is coming and that might account for his strange behaviour at the moment. He's OK when it's past.
