Earlier Morning Cruise

A beautiful sunny day and evening.  A warm breeze, flat calm tonight.  Reports of around 23⁰c again. 

Up at 5am, and early shift in the airport.  I started on the check-in, then a morning meeting and boarding flights.  Back to the check-in desk in the afternoon.  A few delays on various flights.  After a twelve hour shift, it was good to get out into the sunshine.  Met friend Julie for walkies.  Off to bed early. 

This past week of weather really has been perfect, all those horrid winter days have been forgiven.  All us locals have been making the most of the sunshine, fun or work, and actually getting used to it.  Tonight the village was busy, dog walkers, boat painters, even youngsters swimming in the sea. Not only us locals enjoying the fine weather, any tourists visiting just now have hit it lucky.  Plenty of passengers have been commenting on their Shetland experience.  Three cruise ships were arriving this morning on my way to work, hope they've made the most of this fine day.  This was the Marina arriving through the Sooth Mooth 5.57am.  Taken from Gulberwick.
