Is that the best use of a cherrypicker?
It's been another rather busy day.
Our solar heating is not working quite as it should. But the tubes are somewhat inaccessible on the roof over the garden room. So when S heard we had a cherrypicker, he said he would come and investigate. But S being S, and having commitments to others, it was 4.30 this evening before he arrived.
I think he really wanted to play with the cherrypicker, because by the time he was up there, investigating the sensor, it seemed he had possibly already sorted the malfunction. He tells us that the roof pitch is actually easy to cope with, and if he needs access in the future, he can probably get up there ok with a good long ladder.
We've had a number of tractors driving back and forth down our road all weekend, moving large amounts of soil. In extras, a tractor with a full trailer, and another returning empty passing in our entrance.
And we had a travel cot UK for occasional grandchild visiting, but during preparations to move (when Z was still fairly determined that she wasn't going to have any kids) we disposed of that and the high chair. Z changed her mind rather soon after this and is shortly arriving complete with small child so we needed to replace the cot. I found one on Facebook Marketplace, met the vendor early this morning in a lay-by and we are now sorted for a few years.
W finished painting the walls of the workshop and has also put some filler in the worst defects around the doorway.
