Summer Light
Been away on holiday with friends for a week and think we have brought the sun back with us. What a cracking day it has been and a great opportunity to catch up with the gardening.
As we drove up Loch Lomandside at 3 o'clock this morning the cloudless sky was already beginning to brighten and by the time we got to Lochgilphead the sun was rising. I was tempted to ask our friends to stop for a blip, but the desire to get to our beds was too overpowering.
It was our camera club competition tonight and I am pleased to say my Seals At Sunrise shot (which actually doesn't contain a seal!) won the colour print award. I was quite chuffed and when I left and saw the sun ready to set over the hills decided the day needed to end with a blip. The way the course of the river at Waterfoot has changed in recent weeks means there is now an opportunity to walk out onto the sandbar and catch the sun reflecting on the meandering river.
Apologies for the lack of blipping and commenting recently, but I am afraid I refused to pay silly prices this year for wi-fi at the hotel. Hopefully I will get a chance to catch up on commenting in the next day or so.
