And They're Off!
It was another enjoyable, sunny parkrun this morning. Bev and I walked down early doors to set out the course and to greet the 80 or so runners and walkers.
Back home to a welcome cuppa and a couple of hours processing my photos, then it was time to go and retrieve the hanging baskets from the greenhouse in the allotment with Tony. He's done a great job of them yet again.
I'm in a quandary over the bird feeding just now as we appear to have the entire population of starlings in the vicinity of the elder tree. Yesterday morning I put out the ground feeder food and the fat bits quite early and immediately attracted seven (!) squirrels and a Hitchcock of starlings with their young, making a heck of a racket. There were thirteen balancing on the telegraph wire, twenty plus on the ground and every branch and twig of the tree was taken. Today I've waited till mid morning to replenish the tray and it hasn't been as bad thankfully.
