First Bee

My tree peony is a bit worse for wear this morning after our storm yesterday.  Thankfully, the brunt of it was north of me.  It didn't start until around 3pm so I was able to get a photo of this bee making a "bee line" to a blossom.  My first bee portrait of the season.  Just look at that orange pollen pouch and if you look carefully, you can see his wee black bum sprinkled with pollen.  My dragonflies have returned too.  It will be a rainy week, off and on, we need it.  Happy to say the heat of the last two days is over.  Extra is a view of the tree peony before the storm.
